The challenge was to design a visual identity for a Cajun inspired restaurant. The restaurant is aimed towards middle-income urban adults between the ages of 25-30 years of age and was based on the warmth and “joie de vivre” of Cajun culture. The theme of the restaurant was based on food and music and is inspired by the use of bold and vibrant colours by pop artist Jasper Johns to convey the idea of warmth and “joie de vivre”. The bold typography, warm colours, graphic patterns and playful icons convey the brand’s Cajun personality and the theme of music and food while speaking to our target audience.
